The battle for the two promotion spots to next season’s Premier League intensified among the three competing teams—Al-Sahel, Yarmouk, and Salibikhaet—following the conclusion of the 15th round of the Zain League First Division, held the evening before yesterday. Khaitan fueled the competition by halting the leaders Al-Sahel’s momentum and drawing 1-1.
With this result, Al-Sahel moved up to 33 points, while Khaitan increased their tally to 18. Clinton Goss scored for Al-Sahel, and Ibrahima Jay equalized for Khaitan.
Meanwhile, Yarmouk and Salibikhaet regained their balance after Yarmouk defeated Sporty 2-1, raising Yarmouk’s points to 32, while Sporty remained unchanged at 3 points. Sporty took the lead through Abdulrahman Al-Baghlai, while Yarmouk’s goals were scored by Joao Vitor.
Salibikhaet reached 32 points after thrashing Al-Shamiya 3-0, leaving the losers stuck at 10 points. Daniel, Bruno, and Alisson scored the three goals for Salibikhaet.
Finally, Al-Jazira defeated Burqan 2-0, moving their total to 28 points, while Burqan remained unchanged at 14 points. Marwan Zila and Charles Yao scored the two goals for Al-Jazira.
