KEPCO Group Donates $5 Million to Support Kuwait Emergency Response Fund

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced that the KEPCO Group has contributed $5 million to support the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, launched by the Fund on July 5, with the aim of enhancing national preparedness and improving the efficiency of immediate responses to challenges and exceptional circumstances, thereby bolstering the State of Kuwait’s capacity to handle various crises effectively and efficiently.

The Fund emphasized that KEPCO Group’s contribution reflects its belief in the importance of public-private partnership in supporting national priorities, and embodies its commitment to its national and social responsibilities. It also contributes to strengthening the state’s preparedness and supporting the sustainability of essential services and facilities during emergencies.

The statement clarified that the contribution involves participation from the group’s companies, namely: Burkan Bank, KAMCO Invest, United Real Estate Company, National Petroleum Services Company (NAPESCO), and GTC Logistics, within the framework of a strategy that reflects the group’s commitment to supporting national initiatives and enhancing their developmental impact.

The statement added that the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund was established at the initiative of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, following approval by the Council of Ministers. The Kuwait Fund manages the fund and oversees its operations, with the goal of enhancing institutional resilience, improving the efficiency of the national response system, and enabling relevant authorities to respond quickly and effectively to various emergency situations, in line with a national vision that supports sustained preparedness and strengthens the state’s developmental security.
