Our Ambassador to Yemen presented his credentials to the Chairman of the Yemeni Leadership Council
Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, Falah Al-Mutairi, presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi.
In a statement to KUNA, Al-Mutairi said he conveyed greetings from His Highness Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah, Prime Minister, wishing them good health and happiness, and wishing the Republic of Yemen and its fraternal people security, prosperity, and development.
He praised the deep historical fraternal relations between Kuwait and the Republic of Yemen, emphasizing his commitment to enhancing cooperation and ties between the two countries across various political, economic, developmental, and humanitarian fields, in a manner that serves the common interests of both nations and their fraternal peoples.
He affirmed that Kuwait supports Yemen’s security, unity, and stability, and backs all efforts and initiatives aimed at reaching a peaceful settlement and achieving peace in accordance with locally agreed frameworks and those supported regionally and internationally, namely the Gulf Cooperation Council Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216.
For his part, Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Al-Alimi conveyed his sincere greetings to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, and His Highness the Prime Minister, wishing them good health and well-being, and wishing Kuwait and its people continued security, prosperity, and development under their wise leadership.
He reaffirmed Yemen’s firm and principled stance condemning Iranian aggressive attacks on Kuwait and its vital civilian and economic facilities, considering them a violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and Arab national security. He stressed Yemen’s solidarity and unwavering support for Kuwait and its leadership in safeguarding its security and sovereignty and defending its interests.
He praised the strong historical fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, Kuwait’s support for Yemen’s unity, security, and stability, and its valued contributions in supporting the Yemeni people in political, economic, and humanitarian fields amid the current circumstances.
He affirmed the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government to provide the necessary facilitations to the Kuwaiti Ambassador to ensure the success of his mission in enhancing and developing relations between the two brotherly countries and serving their common interests.
