In the context of its ongoing efforts to promote a culture of conserving electricity and water consumption and to reinforce the principles of sustainability, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, represented by the National Campaign for Saving Energy and Water (Wafar), delivered an awareness lecture at Kuwait Airways Corporation, attended by the institution’s Board of Directors Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Al-Faq’an, Chief Executive Officer Abdulwahab Al-Shatti, and the Assistant Undersecretary for Customer Services at the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, M. Falah Al-Mutairi, along with a number of leaders and employees.

The lecture covered key daily behaviors that contribute to conserving electricity and water consumption, the importance of optimal resource use, and the role of individuals in supporting sustainability. It also highlighted best practices that can be implemented in workplaces and homes to enhance consumption efficiency.

The Wafar team presented the campaign’s objectives and the Ministry’s efforts to raise public awareness about the importance of conservation through the implementation of awareness programs and initiatives, as well as by building partnerships with various government entities and institutions in both the public and private sectors. These efforts aim to strengthen the culture of responsible consumption and support the sustainability of national resources.

During the lecture, the team emphasized that conserving electricity and water is a shared responsibility, and that adherence to prudent behaviors helps preserve resources, supports the stability of the electrical and water systems, and ensures the optimal use of energy and water.

At the conclusion of the lecture, officials from Kuwait Airways Corporation expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy and the national “Wafar” Campaign in raising awareness and promoting a culture of conservation. They underscored the importance of continued collaboration among various state institutions to achieve sustainable development goals and embed sustainable practices within society.
