Al-Tatbiqi: Renewal of the Air Traffic Controller Certification Accredited by the Civil Aviation Authority

The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) announced the renewal of the air traffic controller certification accredited by the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) in Kuwait, in accordance with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and issued by the Higher Institute of Communications and Navigation, and accredited by PACA.

In a press statement, PAAET Director General Dr. Hassan Al-Fajam said that the renewal of this accreditation embodies the confidence placed in the education and training system at PAAET and reflects the advanced level achieved by the Higher Institute of Communications and Navigation in qualifying national cadres according to recognized international standards.

Al-Fajam added that the accreditation is granted in accordance with the regulations and requirements applicable to civil aviation safety in Kuwait, and serves as a reaffirmation of the Authority’s commitment to applying the highest international standards in preparing and qualifying air traffic controllers through specialized academic and training programs.

He clarified that these programs strive to keep pace with the latest developments in the civil aviation sector, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified national cadres in line with global best practices. He noted that the Authority is working to develop its academic and training programs and align their outcomes with the needs of vital sectors, foremost among them the civil aviation sector.

He commended the efforts of the Higher Institute of Communications and Navigation, as well as all members of its academic, training, and administrative staff, and institute affiliates, appreciating their contributions to renewing this accreditation, which reflects the importance of collaborative institutional work.

For her part, Director of the Higher Institute of Communications and Navigation Eng. Maha Qabazard said in a similar statement that this renewal is the culmination of continuous efforts made by the institute’s team and its full commitment to applying the requirements of PACA and ICAO standards, thereby ensuring the maintenance of training program quality and keeping pace with the latest developments in air traffic control.

Qabazard added that this accreditation marks the beginning of a new phase of development, through expanding the offering of specialized programs and disciplines, creating advanced training opportunities, and strengthening partnerships with national, regional, and international entities, all of which contribute to preparing qualified national cadres capable of meeting the needs of the civil aviation sector and keeping pace with global developments in this field.
