Al-Asfour: Leveraging Korean experiences in the oil, energy, and artificial intelligence sectors and transferring them to Kuwait
Our Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Azzam Al-Asfour, praised the Republic of Korea’s advancements in various technological fields, emphasizing the importance of leveraging Korean experiences and transferring them to the State of Kuwait, particularly in the oil, energy, artificial intelligence, and information technology sectors.
In a statement received by KUNA, our embassy in the Republic of Korea noted that these remarks were made during Ambassador Al-Asfour’s reception of a delegation of high school students who had won the “Nabdh” awareness program, organized by Kuwait Oil Company under the chairmanship of its Director of Public Relations and Media, Mohammed Al-Basri.
The statement added that Ambassador Al-Asfour also highlighted the progress achieved by Korean universities in technological fields related to artificial intelligence, stressing the importance of honing skills, expanding knowledge, and maintaining perseverance in academic pursuits and staying abreast of developments in these vital areas. This, he noted, would contribute to preparing qualified national cadres capable of keeping pace with future developments across various fields.
The statement pointed out that Ambassador Al-Asfour expressed his aspiration to increase the number of Kuwaiti students enrolling in rare and advanced specialties such as electronics engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and other related fields. He affirmed that the embassy and all its staff are ready to provide the necessary assistance in fostering effective communication between Kuwaiti entities and Korean institutions and companies in these areas.
