Kuwait officials confirmed that Faisal Al-Zamil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Najah Charity Association, stated that the Extraordinary General Assembly of the association approved amendments to certain articles of its bylaws. Al-Zamil clarified that the Extraordinary General Assembly was held last Thursday, with a quorum present and representatives from the Ministry of Social Affairs participating. The proposed amendments to the bylaws were discussed and approved following their presentation, deliberation, and voting in accordance with legal procedures.
He noted that the amendments covered several articles of the association’s bylaws, most notably introducing specific provisions for honorary members, emeritus members, and honorary presidents. The updates also revised articles related to the association’s resources and the mechanism for depositing funds, as well as regulating procedures for filling vacant board seats and the mechanism for convening board meetings and issuing its decisions.
Al-Zamil added that the amendments included updating the articles governing board elections and opening the candidacy process, alongside reaffirming the implementation of charitable projects and programs both within and outside Kuwait, following official approvals from the Ministry of Social Affairs and relevant authorities. He pointed out that the General Assembly, at the conclusion of its proceedings, approved all the amendments to the bylaws.
