The Kuwait International Law College Concludes Its Third Summer Program in London

The Kuwait International College of Law concluded the activities of its third summer program in London, organized in collaboration with the University of Essex. This international academic experience further consolidated the college’s success in its programs and reinforced its position in building global academic partnerships that enable its students to learn in advanced educational environments.

The two-week program featured an intensive semester comprising three academic courses: European Union Law, Islamic Financial Transactions System, and Arbitration. These courses were delivered by a distinguished faculty from the University of Essex, the University of Manchester, and the Kuwait International College of Law, providing students with a comprehensive scientific experience that combines academic study with practical application.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Muqattam, President of the Kuwait International College of Law, emphasized that the continuous success of the summer program in its third edition reflects the college’s commitment to providing legal education to global standards and strengthening international academic cooperation with prestigious universities. This opens broader horizons for students to acquire knowledge and expertise, and to engage with comparative legal experiences.

Dr. Al-Muqattam added that the college believes that preparing distinguished legal professionals extends beyond lecture halls to include direct exposure to leading legal and judicial institutions, and studying best global practices. This contributes to shaping legal personalities capable of keeping pace with rapid developments in the legal field and enhancing graduates’ readiness for the local and international job market.

For her part, Dr. Suha Al-Turkistani, Director of the London Summer Program, clarified that the program included participation by students from the Kuwait International College of Law, as well as students from other universities, creating a multicultural educational environment that enhanced academic exchange and broadened the scientific and intellectual horizons of participants. She added that the program was not limited to the academic aspect; it also included a series of field visits to prominent academic, legal, and judicial institutions in the United Kingdom, most notably a visit to the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom.
