Al-Arabi defeats Amad Sport, Kazma beats Germany, and meets Al-Waab

Al-Arabi defeated Turkish side Amad Spor 4-0 in a friendly match held at their training camp in Turkey the day before yesterday. Goals were scored by Zaid Qanbar (two), Talal Al-Qaissy, and Lucas Chaloun. This was the team’s third match, following a 1-3 loss to Erdurum and a 1-1 draw with Van Spor.

Al-Arabi is preparing to face Indian side East Bengal on the 12th of next month in the playoff round of the AFC Champions League Two. According to the team’s preparation schedule, they will also play one final friendly match, which should clarify the starting lineup before traveling to Kolkata on the 6th of next month.

Al-Akhdar resumed training yesterday to continue their physical and technical preparation under Croatian coach Goran Sablic.

Meanwhile, the first football team at Kazma Club played their first friendly match of their camp in the Turkish city of Izmit, facing Qatari side Al-Waab at 5:00 pm today, as part of their preparations for the start of the season in the Premier League on the 25th of next month, as well as their participation in the Gulf Club Champions Cup, following the return of the “Orange” team to international competitions.

Kazma’s Croatian coach, Dragan Tadich, aims to involve as many new players as possible—both professionals and locals, as well as youth players—in the match, so they can adapt to his playing style and tactics. Most of the current squad already knows how he manages matches, having been led by him last season.

Kazma announced their fifth foreign signing, 28-year-old German striker Torleis Knoll, thereby closing the file on foreign players. Knoll was one of the most prominent strikers in the Saudi Yelo League last season, scoring 17 goals for Al-Taawoun.

Meanwhile, Senegalese player Amath Ndao has not yet joined the team’s training sessions due to delays in obtaining his entry visa for Turkey, but he is expected to join his teammates in the coming days. The technical staff also decided to play their second friendly match against Saudi side Al-Raed on the 6th of next month. Two additional friendlies will be announced before the team returns to the country on August 14.
