The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States, Jassem Al-Budaiwi, affirmed yesterday the necessity of continuing joint efforts to implement the high-level outcomes of the 19th Consultative Meeting of the GCC Supreme Council of Heads of State.
In a statement, the GCC Secretariat General noted that this came during a routine meeting held by Al-Budaiwi with senior officials at the Secretariat General and members of the Secretariat General’s Committee for Monitoring the Outcomes of the Meeting, held at the Secretariat General’s headquarters in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
During the meeting, Al-Budaiwi stressed that these high-level outcomes constitute a fundamental pillar for enhancing Gulf economic integration, improving the efficiency of the GCC member states’ economies, and strengthening their capacity to address changes and challenges, thereby fulfilling the aspirations of their peoples for development and prosperity.
The statement added that the meeting reviewed the outcomes of recent GCC ministerial meetings and workshops held with member states, alongside discussing follow-up mechanisms with relevant authorities in member states and the Secretariat General to ensure the implementation of the outcomes and achieve their objectives.
