Pakistani Prime Minister Discusses Regional Developments and Efforts to Enhance Security and Stability in the Region with Foreign Minister

Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, received Foreign Minister Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber on the occasion of his official visit to the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. The meeting was attended by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, as well as the ministers of defense, commerce, national food security and research, communications, maritime affairs, and petroleum, along with a number of senior Pakistani officials.
During the meeting, Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber conveyed greetings from His Highness Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah, Prime Minister, to President Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He also conveyed their best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly government and people of Pakistan.
The meeting reviewed the deep-rooted historical bilateral relations between the two countries and their peoples, and discussed ways to enhance and strengthen cooperation in various fields to serve the mutual interests of both nations. The latest regional developments and efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region were also discussed.
Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber expressed Kuwait’s appreciation for the active diplomatic role played by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in supporting regional security and stability.
