Al-Kuwaitia organizes an awareness seminar on "rationalizing electricity and water consumption" in collaboration with the Ministry of Electricity and Water
In line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility and its support for national initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of sustainability and conserving resources, Kuwait Airways organized an awareness seminar titled “Rationalizing Electricity and Water Consumption,” in collaboration with the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy. The event was attended by the company’s Board Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Faqhan; the Assistant Undersecretary for Customer Service Sector at the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Engineer Falah Badr Al-Mutairi; the Acting Chief Executive Officer, Captain Abdulwahab Ibrahim Al-Shatti; and several ministry officials, as well as company executives and staff.
The seminar featured an awareness presentation by specialists from the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, covering key practices and guidelines for rationalizing electricity and water consumption, along with practical tips that can be applied in the workplace and daily life, contributing to raising awareness and achieving optimal resource utilization.
On the sidelines of the seminar, Acting CEO Captain Abdulwahab Ibrahim Al-Shatti emphasized that rationalizing electricity and water consumption represents a shared national responsibility requiring collective efforts. He noted that optimal resource use supports the development process and helps preserve the country’s endowments for future generations.
Al-Shatti added that Kuwait Airways believes its role extends beyond providing air transport services to encompassing its corporate social responsibility and participating in national initiatives that enhance awareness and instill positive behaviors among its employees and affiliates, aligning with the State of Kuwait’s direction toward sustainability and efficient resource use.
He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy for their cooperation in organizing this event, reaffirming Kuwait Airways’ continued support for national programs and initiatives that promote corporate social responsibility and foster a culture of sustainability, serving the public interest and keeping pace with the State of Kuwait’s vision to preserve its natural resources.
