Saudi Arabia condemns continued drone attacks by Iran-backed militias in Iraq targeting its oil facilities

Riyadh (KUNA): The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed its strongest condemnation of the continued attacks by Iran-backed militias in Iraq, which have been launching drones to target petroleum facilities in the Eastern Province. In a statement on Tuesday, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the Kingdom’s resolve to protect its security and sovereignty and to maintain its lawful right to take all necessary actions to respond to sources of aggression and deter aggressors. It emphasized the necessity for the Iraqi government to take all required measures to ensure that its territory is not used as a launching pad for aggression.
