Saudi Defense: Our air defenses destroyed drones that attempted to target petroleum facilities in the Eastern Province over the past hours

The official spokesperson for the Saudi Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that air defenses intercepted and destroyed several drones over the past hours that had attempted to target petroleum facilities in the Eastern Province.

According to a statement posted by the ministry on its X platform, Brigadier General Al-Maliki clarified that these terrorist attempts were launched again from Iraqi territory and carried out by Iran-backed terrorist militias, affirming the Kingdom’s inherent right to defend itself and its assets, as well as its right to respond at the time and place of its choosing.
