Discounts for residents in Dubai and their guests to boost tourism: $800 for those who invite friends and family to visit

The media office of the Dubai government announced that the city will offer discounts and promotions worth more than $800 to residents who invite friends and family to visit, amid damage to the tourism sector caused by months of war. The office stated in a post on the X platform that “Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism has launched the ‘Invited by Dubai’ program, which enables residents to invite their families and friends to visit the city and share its finest experiences, in an initiative celebrating their role as the city’s best ambassadors.” Dubai, which welcomes 19.5 million tourists annually, is one of the region’s top tourist destinations, attracting the wealthy and celebrities from around the world. The Dubai government said on its website that residents who wish to invite friends and family to visit between July 20 and October 31 can receive “rewards worth more than 3,000 UAE dirhams, including hotel stays, dining experiences, visits to tourist attractions, and much more.” Residents can nominate individuals they wish to invite through the website to enjoy the aforementioned benefits.
