Kuwait Fund Announces Alghanim Industries' $5 Million Contribution

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced that Alghanim Industries has contributed $5 million to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, launched on July 5, with the aim of enhancing national preparedness and improving Kuwait’s capacity to respond promptly to exceptional circumstances.
In a press statement, the Fund clarified that this initiative embodies Alghanim Industries’ social and national responsibility, reflecting its conviction in the importance of collective efforts to support national initiatives aimed at strengthening the country’s overall readiness.
The Fund emphasized that the company’s contribution highlights the vital and responsible role of Kuwait’s private sector in supporting government entities, providing the necessary resources for rapid crisis response, and reinforcing values of solidarity and mutual support within society.
Alghanim Industries is one of the largest private sector companies in the Gulf region, operating in more than 40 countries worldwide through over 30 companies across diverse sectors including retail, distribution, food and beverages, automobiles, industry, and services, with a history spanning more than nine decades.
The Kuwait Emergency Response Fund was established at the initiative of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, following approval by the Council of Ministers, to oversee its management and operations, with the goal of enhancing institutional resilience, improving national response efficiency, and enabling relevant authorities to address emergency challenges effectively and efficiently.
