«Affairs»: Kuwaiting the position of Supply Branch Manager in Cooperative Societies

The Ministry of Social Affairs announced the start of “Kuwaitizing” the position of Supply Branch Manager within the support roles in cooperative societies, in accordance with directives from Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail.

In a press statement, the ministry clarified that it had issued a circular to the Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies to immediately begin Kuwaitizing this position by appointing national talents working within the cooperatives who meet the job requirements, granting them priority in the nomination and appointment procedures.

It added that this step is based on the state’s directions and Cabinet decisions regarding the policy of replacement and Kuwaitization of jobs, and in a bid to strengthen the participation of national cadres in the cooperative sector, empower citizens to hold supervisory and support positions, and enhance institutional performance efficiency.

The ministry, in its circular issued by the General Administration of Cooperative Affairs, stressed that the position of Supply Branch Manager cannot be held by non-Kuwaitis if a qualified Kuwaiti candidate is available. It further specified that if a cooperative lacks a national talent to fill the position, it must notify the ministry of the reasons for the unavailability, so that the necessary measures can be taken in coordination with relevant authorities to provide suitable national cadres, thereby ensuring the achievement of the desired objectives of the Kuwaitization policy.
