Al-Ahly draws with Van Spor, while Qadsiah faces Saudi Al-Zulfi

Mubarak Al-Khalidi - Abdulaziz Jassim: The first team of Al-Arabi Club drew 1-1 with the Turkish side Van Spor in a friendly match held at the “Al-Akhdar” camp in Turkey on the day before yesterday. Al-Arabi’s goal was scored by player Zaid Qanbar.

This match marks the second test for Al-Akhdar, which is preparing to face the Indian team East Bengal on the 12th of next month in the playoff round of the 2022 AFC Champions League Two. The team lost its first friendly 1-3 to Erdurumspor.

According to the team’s preparation schedule, it faced the Turkish side Amad Spor yesterday and will play another match before traveling to the Indian city of Kolkata.

Al-Qadsieh Contracts

On another note, Al-Qadsieh Club announced the signing of Moroccan striker Ayoub Al-Khassir, who will join the first football team. With this signing, Al-Khassir becomes the fourth foreign player in the yellow squad, following the signings of his compatriot striker Hamza Khaba, Omani striker Abdulrahman Al-Mashfari, and Nigerian winger Gabriel Urok.

Al-Khassir is considered a standout player in terms of skill and passing, having delivered an impressive performance while playing for Al-Yarmouk.

The club has also submitted an official offer to Moroccan club Raja Casablanca to sign Moroccan defender Mohammed Saud for $250,000. However, negotiations do not appear to have been finalized yet, as the offer was submitted on the 13th of this month. Consequently, the team is in need of a defender in the coming days to join group training in Yalova, Turkey, under the guidance of coach Mohammed Ibrahim, in order to integrate with the team and participate in friendly matches before returning to the country on August 18. This is particularly urgent as the Premier League is set to kick off on the 25th, leaving little time.

At the same time, Al-Qadsieh announced a local deal involving the signing of Al-Arabi striker Mughdad Safar, one of the team’s stars in the Ooredoo League last season. Safar returned during the winter transfer window after being loaned out last season. The club is also awaiting the announcement of a new deal involving Kuwaiti player Khaled Al-Kharqaawi, who has previously represented the national teams. Additionally, the club has loaned defender Ahmed Al-Rashidi to Al-Nasr for one season.

Meanwhile, Al-Qadsieh will play its first friendly match of its Turkish camp today at 6:00 p.m. against Saudi side Al-Zulfi.
