Start of "Bahrain Shield" exercise to enhance joint military cooperation among Gulf states

Yesterday morning, the phases of the joint exercise “Bahrain Shield” commenced, with the participation of the armed forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, aiming to enhance joint military cooperation among the GCC countries, exchange expertise, and evaluate joint military operational systems. According to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the implementation of this joint exercise seeks to achieve several desired objectives through conducting joint operational scenarios and integrated military field applications, as well as strengthening command and control systems and developing joint military operational capabilities. The exercise also aims to elevate the combat readiness of all participating forces to confront all threats, reinforce concepts of joint Gulf defense and resolute deterrence, and strengthen the pillars of joint military defense cooperation among the armed forces of the GCC states, thereby contributing to supporting regional security and stability.
