Standing Committee Announces New Fuel Price Cut

The Syrian Standing Committee for Determining Prices of Petroleum Products and Mineral Wealth announced yesterday a new reduction in fuel and petroleum derivative prices, coinciding with the global decline in oil prices. In a bulletin disseminated by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the committee set the prices of petroleum derivatives effective as of yesterday as follows: 95-octane gasoline at 147 Syrian pounds, 90-octane gasoline at 142 Syrian pounds, diesel fuel at 120 Syrian pounds, domestic gas at 1,470 Syrian pounds, and industrial gas cylinders at 2,350 Syrian pounds.

The Standing Committee for Determining Prices of Petroleum Products and Mineral Wealth had previously confirmed on June 26 that the adoption of the new price bulletin is part of a modern institutional approach based on periodic price reviews according to updated economic and technical indicators, ensuring alignment with ongoing changes and achieving a balance between the sustainable supply of petroleum products and safeguarding the interests of citizens and the national economy.
