Gulf Cooperation Council condemns drone attack on Jordan: an unacceptable violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty

Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Budaiwi expressed his condemnation and denunciation of the treacherous attack by two drones that targeted the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

In a statement on Monday, Al-Budaiwi said that these hostile acts constitute an unacceptable violation of Jordan’s sovereignty and pose a threat to its security and stability, as well as to regional security, reaffirming the full solidarity of the GCC member states with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Earlier today, the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces announced that the Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted and shot down two drones that targeted Jordanian territory.
