Al-Ahly Launches Summer Programs for Employees' Children

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has launched the activities of its summer programs designed for employees’ children, aimed at developing their personal and life skills and making the best possible use of their free time, as part of its ongoing commitment to investing in human capital and providing an inspiring and cohesive work environment for all members of its workforce.

The programs include the Young Innovators Camp for children aged 8 to 12, designed to inspire children to become inventors, designers, and problem-solvers. Through fun innovation labs, design challenges, LEGO activities, creative projects, and competitions, participants will learn how to transform big ideas into real solutions.

The second program is the Public Speaking and Future Skills Camp for children aged 12 to 16, aimed at enhancing communication, leadership, and teamwork skills in a fun and supportive environment.

The opening ceremony of the summer programs was held at the Australian University in Kuwait, attended by Afrah Al-Arbash, Director of Human Resources Management at the bank, the human resources management team, and program participants. The event featured a presentation outlining the programs’ objectives, schedule, number of participants, creative workshops, group physical activities, and mental challenges.

Speaking on the occasion, Al-Arbash said, “At the National Bank of Kuwait, we believe that our care for our employees extends to their families. This summer initiative comes to provide an inspiring space for their children to make the most of their free time by acquiring essential skills such as leadership, critical thinking, and teamwork—foundations that help prepare them for a promising future.”

She added that launching programs targeted at employees’ families is part of a comprehensive vision to elevate the work environment, emphasizing the bank’s commitment to providing an integrated work environment, as it believes that the well-being and family stability of its team members directly and positively impact their productivity.

Al-Arbash concluded, “While designing these four-week programs, we focused on the skills needed by today’s generation, such as flexibility and problem-solving abilities. Building confidence and developing communication skills at an early age is not merely a recreational activity, but a genuine investment in shaping the personalities of tomorrow’s leaders.”
