In Video: Kuwait Fire Department says replacing tires and genuine spare parts reduces car breakdowns and accidents

The General Fire Force has called on vehicle owners to adhere to preventive maintenance procedures during the summer season, emphasizing that replacing consumable parts on schedule and not leaving flammable materials inside cars are among the most important measures that contribute to reducing vehicle breakdowns and fires.

In an awareness video shared via its official social media accounts, the Force explained that rising temperatures necessitate regular vehicle maintenance at authorized workshops and service centers, with particular attention to replacing consumable parts that may be affected by use and extended operating periods, such as tires and hoses, given their direct role in maintaining vehicle safety and preventing accidents.

It also stressed the importance of not leaving flammable items inside vehicles, such as perfumes, chargers, portable power banks, spare batteries, and lighters, especially when parking under direct sunlight or in open areas, due to the risk of fire ignition caused by high temperatures.

Furthermore, it highlighted the importance of avoiding the installation of low-quality or non-compliant electrical accessories or modifications, which can cause electrical short circuits and lead to vehicle fires, as well as the need to regularly check the validity and readiness of the fire extinguisher inside the vehicle for use when needed.
