Saudi Defense Ministry spokesperson Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki announced that air defenses intercepted and destroyed several drones in recent hours that had attempted to target petroleum facilities in the Eastern and Riyadh regions. In a statement relayed by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he clarified that these terrorist attempts originated from Iraqi territory and were carried out by Iran-backed terrorist militias, affirming the Kingdom’s inherent right to defend itself and its assets, and reserving its right to respond at the time and place of its choosing.
