The President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham to discuss bilateral relations and ways to enhance them across various fields, in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries. The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed congratulated the British Prime Minister on assuming office, wishing him success in leading his country toward further progress and prosperity. The agency added that both sides reaffirmed their aspiration to continue strengthening UAE-British relations and expanding the horizons of cooperation to serve the interests of both countries and their friendly peoples, and that they exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concern.
