The Amir discussed regional and international developments with the British Prime Minister

His Highness Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad received a telephone call yesterday evening from Andy Burnham, Prime Minister of the friendly United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. His Highness congratulated him on being appointed by King Charles III, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to form the government.

During the call, the historic ties between the two countries and their friendly peoples were reviewed, along with a number of issues of mutual interest and the latest developments on the regional and international fronts, particularly concerning the current circumstances facing the region, with views exchanged on these matters. His Highness reaffirmed his country’s steadfast support for the State of Kuwait and its friendly people, and its backing for all measures aimed at safeguarding Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and stability.
