Ministry of Health Opens Registration for Scholarships and Study Leaves for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.. Al-Anba Publishes Conditions
AbdulKarim Al-Abdullah: The Ministry of Health has opened registration for those wishing to join study missions and academic leave programs for the 2026-2027 academic year, in line with its commitment to developing national competencies and enhancing the sustainability of the health system through investment in the qualification and development of human resources.
The Ministry clarified that the offered programs include more than 20 main specialties and approximately 170 sub-specialties, aligning with the needs of the health sector and contributing to the preparation of qualified national cadres according to the latest academic and professional standards.
It was noted that the study missions and academic leave programs target Ministry employees from various categories, including doctors, pharmacists, allied health professionals, and administrative staff, with opportunities provided to complete studies at the diploma, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels.
The Ministry invited interested parties to submit their applications by Sunday, August 2, via the dedicated electronic link or by scanning the QR code shown in the announcement, emphasizing the importance of adhering to specified deadlines and fulfilling all necessary conditions and requirements.
The Ministry of Health stressed that this step is part of its ongoing efforts to develop human capital, enhance employee efficiency, and improve the quality of health services provided, in line with the state’s aspirations and to support the path of sustainable health development.
The registration conditions included the following:
First: Diploma and Bachelor’s Programs
* The applicant’s age must not exceed 50 years.
* Possession of a secondary school certificate or diploma.
* Achievement of an “Excellent” grade in the last two years.
Second: Master’s and Doctoral Programs
* The applicant’s age must not exceed 50 years.
* Possession of a bachelor’s or master’s degree, depending on the applied program.
* Achievement of an “Excellent” grade in the last two years.
General Requirements
* Attach all required documents clearly in the designated spaces within the application form.
* Update all data with the Human Resources Development Department at the Ministry of Health, including job-related data and academic qualifications.
* Provide a certificate from the Public Institution for Social Insurance if the employee’s service at the Ministry of Health is less than one year, provided there is prior service.
The conditions included some notes:
* The term “fully funded plan” means that the Civil Service Bureau bears the allocated financial allowances according to prevailing regulations.

Confirming what was previously published in “Al-Anbaa,” the Ministry of Health began yesterday implementing the ministerial decision regarding the standards for public appearance and professional dress code for workers in the government and private sectors, following the expiration of a six-month period since the issuance of the decision and the approval of its executive regulations by Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi.
The decision aims to enhance professional identity within health facilities and unify professional appearance in a manner consistent with the nature of each job category, thereby contributing to improving the quality of health services and enhancing the work environment.
The decision focuses on enabling service recipients to easily identify health team members, reinforcing institutional discipline, and supporting the quality of health services, while respecting public taste and societal diversity.
The ministry emphasized that the implementation of the regulation is part of efforts to develop a healthy work environment, raise the level of professionalism, and enhance the confidence of clients in the services provided, in line with best regulatory practices in the healthcare sector.
