Worker killed, four others injured in vehicle rollover

An Arab expatriate was killed, and four others were injured with fractures and wounds, two of them in critical condition, on the day before yesterday, after their four-wheel-drive vehicle overturned on Al-Mutlaa Street.

A security source said that the deceased and the injured, all of whom were expatriates under the age of 40, were on their way home after finishing their shifts at a construction site, before the vehicle overturned for reasons still under investigation. The crash resulted in the death of one person at the scene and left the others with varying degrees of injury.

The source added that relevant authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident, without ruling out that a tire blowout caused by high temperatures could be one of the possible causes.
