Active dust-laden winds with reduced visibility today

The Meteorology Department has forecast that the country will be affected today by active winds stirring up dust, starting around midday, which may reduce visibility in some areas, particularly exposed ones. The Acting Director of the Department, Derrar Al-Ali, told KUNA that the country is currently experiencing an extension of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a very hot air mass, with light to moderate northerly-westerly winds that occasionally strengthen, with speeds ranging between 15 and 55 kilometers per hour, stirring up sand and dust and causing reduced visibility. Al-Ali added that the northerly-westerly winds will peak during the daytime, driving sea waves up to six feet, before wind speeds subside at night, allowing dust to gradually settle and visibility to improve. He predicted that the weather will be very hot during the day and hot to warm at night, with minimum temperatures expected at dawn ranging from 34 to 36 degrees Celsius and maximum temperatures from 46 to 48 degrees Celsius.
