Development and Utilization of Public Gardens

Despite the widespread presence of public facilities such as the parks visible across various areas of Kuwait, some of these parks remain neglected and require greater attention and follow-up by the relevant state authorities. We are well aware that weather conditions and high temperatures during the morning hours do not permit use, but there is significant potential for evening enjoyment during the summer season, transforming these sites into recreational outlets for local residents. We hope that these facilities will be equipped with the missing water sprinklers to help improve the atmosphere, in addition to allocating play areas for children and establishing shops and restaurants serving snacks and fast food. These parks should be regularly developed and maintained to become attractive destinations for visitors seeking leisure or sports activities, rather than being abandoned, as is the case with parks in other countries.

The private sector should also take action to contribute to the modernization, development, and upkeep of these parks. The same applies to cooperative societies across various governorates, which are expected to work to elevate these facilities, prioritize them, and foster community participation among their members to serve the public interest.

Finally, we hope that the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor will take the initiative to manage these parks, open the door to investment and development, and maximize the benefits from these facilities, which were established to serve and provide comfort to local residents.
