The Amir discussed with the British Prime Minister regional and international developments and the current circumstances in the region

KUNA: His Highness Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad received a telephone call this evening from Andy Burnham, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to congratulate him on his appointment by King Charles III, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to form a government. During the call, the two leaders reviewed the historic ties between the two countries and their friendly peoples, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest and the latest developments on the regional and international fronts, particularly regarding the current circumstances facing the region, exchanging views on these matters. The Amir reaffirmed his country’s steadfast support for the State of Kuwait and its friendly people, and its backing for all measures aimed at safeguarding Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and stability.
