The Axios news website revealed that the U.S. military is working on plans for potential large-scale operations against Iran, while noting that U.S. President Donald Trump has not yet issued orders. The website added, citing sources, that President Trump did not give the green light on Friday to carry out strikes on Iran, despite having approved attack plans on a daily basis. It pointed out that Trump’s decision to halt the strikes came hours after an Omani delegation arrived in Tehran to hold talks concerning the Strait of Hormuz. Sources indicated that progress had been made in the negotiations, adding that an agreement between Iran and the Sultanate of Oman could be reached over the weekend.
