Al-Tatweer Holding officially announces its acquisition of Al-Masalih for Investment

Kuwait Investment Holding Company announced the completion of its acquisition of Al Masaleh for Investment, a move it described as a strategic milestone within its plans to expand and diversify its investment portfolio and enhance the role of the private sector in supporting the national economy, during a press conference attended by several media outlets.

Talaal Al-Ajmi, CEO of Kuwait Investment Holding Company, stated that the acquisition of Al Masaleh for Investment aligns with a strategic vision aimed at diversifying the investment portfolio and expanding into operational sectors, affirming that the deal marks the beginning of a new phase in the company’s journey.

Al-Ajmi clarified that the company acquired Al Masaleh for Investment to serve as the financial arm of Kuwait Investment Holding Company, noting that the company possesses significant market experience spanning 16 years, along with extensive expertise in dealing with clients and regulatory authorities. He emphasized that the acquisition of “Al Masaleh” reinforces this direction.

He added that the Kuwaiti private sector is a key partner in achieving the targets of the “New Kuwait 2035” vision through diversifying income sources and enhancing economic development, pointing out that the current time is suitable for seizing investment opportunities, especially as the deal took approximately two years to complete.

For his part, Mohammed Al-Jou’an, Deputy CEO of Al Masaleh for Investment, stated that the acquisition represents an important milestone in the history of both companies, which possess cumulative market experience spanning decades. He affirmed that current economic and financial indicators reflect a noticeable improvement in the investment environment, thanks to the role played by regulatory authorities in regulating the market and enhancing transparency.

Al-Jou’an explained that the company looks forward to a new phase of growth following the completion of the deal, by leveraging available investment opportunities and offering innovative business models, moving beyond traditional stock investments. He also praised the efforts of the Central Bank of Kuwait and the Capital Markets Authority in completing the acquisition procedures.

In turn, Muneed Yousef, Director of Media and Public Relations at Kuwait Investment Holding Company, emphasized that the true value of any acquisition is measured by the results it achieves after completion, rather than its financial size. He noted that continued construction and investment represent the best response to the challenges facing Kuwait and the region.

He stated that the company views the deal as the beginning of a new phase of growth and development, enhancing its presence in the private sector and aligning with the “Kuwait 2035” vision, reaffirming the company’s commitment to playing its role in supporting the national economy through sustainable investment and adding real value to the market.

Yousef pointed out that Kuwait Investment Holding Company’s portfolio includes several successful investment ventures, including Cantin Kuwait, specializing in the retail sector, and the “Twenty Grams” specialty coffee chain, which has expanded to more than 11 locations within Kuwait, in addition to its presence in several regional markets, including Qatar and Egypt.

For his part, Othman Al-Awadhi, General Manager of Kuwait Investment Holding Company, confirmed that the acquisition represents a new launch for the company according to a vision aimed at supporting the investment environment. He indicated that the next phase will focus on attracting high-quality opportunities and building new partnerships based on trust and corporate culture.

Kuwait Investment Holding Company is one of the Kuwaiti investment groups operating in multiple fields, adopting a strategy based on operational investment and asset diversification, with a focus on building value-added companies and supporting the growth of the private sector, in line with Kuwait’s economic development targets.
