Shooter arrested at his friend's residence in Abdullah Al-Mubarak
Kuwait officials: Criminal Investigation Department officers arrested a citizen accused of shooting at his friend’s vehicle, following personal disputes between them, and referred the suspect to the competent authorities.
The incident details emerged after a citizen filed a report stating that he had personal disagreements with his friend, before receiving a call from him requesting a meeting under the pretext of negotiating and resolving their differences. Upon arriving at the suspect’s residence in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area, the suspect emerged armed with a firearm and fired three shots toward the complainant’s vehicle, damaging the driver’s door and shattering the windshield. The complainant managed to escape without sustaining any injuries.
Following the registration of the case, the deputy public prosecutor ordered forensic experts to inspect the vehicle and collect evidence, and tasked the Criminal Investigation Department with conducting the necessary inquiries.
The investigations led to the arrest of the suspect, who is now being interrogated as legal procedures are completed in preparation for referring him to the competent authorities.
