Ahmad Khamis: Security authorities have begun investigating an incident of verbal abuse directed at an employee working in the reporting department of the Ministry of the Interior, while she was performing her duties via the emergency hotline (112). The investigator has ordered the arrest and summons of the accused and the extraction of the recorded conversation that forms the basis of the case.
According to a security source, the employee stated that she received a call through the emergency hotline, and the caller proceeded to direct insulting and offensive remarks at her during the conversation. She confirmed that the call was recorded, noting that the incident constitutes an assault on a public official while she was carrying out her duties, and a case has been filed.
