Vehicle seized with fuel tank and transmission modified as secret compartments for cigarettes

Kuwait officials: Officers from the General Administration of Customs at the Nuweiba border crossing thwarted an attempt to smuggle 43 cartons and 8 packs of cigarettes after seizing them hidden inside a vehicle that had been fitted with secret compartments in the fuel tank and the gear shift console. The General Administration of Customs confiscated the vehicle, deeming it equipped for smuggling purposes, and took the necessary legal measures. A report on the incident was prepared, and the suspect and the seized items were referred to the General Administration of Criminal Investigation to complete the inquiries and take the appropriate legal actions.
