Mubarak Al-Nawaf: Honoring outstanding athletes is an incentive to continue the path to success

Deputy Chairman of the Olympic Committee, Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Al-Nawaf, praised the gracious patronage extended by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the ceremony honoring outstanding Kuwaiti athletes. He emphasized that this initiative reflects the state’s appreciation for the contributions of Kuwaiti athletes and highlights the continuous support enjoyed by the sports movement from the political leadership.

In a statement to the press, he said, “The presence and patronage of the Prime Minister at this ceremony carry significant implications, underscoring the state’s commitment to standing by athletes and honoring those who have achieved success. It also serves as an incentive to continue the path of success and contribution, and to consolidate the position of Kuwaiti sports at both the regional and international levels.”

He commended the efforts of the Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahuma, and the Acting Director General of the General Sports Authority, Bashar Abdullah, in preparing and organizing the ceremony, which aims to honor athletes who have achieved notable successes and to reinforce a culture of gratitude and appreciation for all those who contribute to raising Kuwait’s flag high.
