In Video: First Deputy Speaker: Assessing damages and taking necessary measures to reopen the Abdali crossing as soon as possible

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, met with the Governor of Basra in the Republic of Iraq, Asaad Al-Eidani, to discuss several issues of mutual interest, foremost among them the latest developments in the security situation in the region. The meeting was attended by several security and military leaders from the Ministries of Defense and Interior.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed areas of cooperation between the two sides and discussed ways to enhance security coordination, in order to support border security and serve shared interests, within the framework of the fraternal relations uniting the State of Kuwait and the sister Republic of Iraq.

At the conclusion of the visit, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, inspected the Al-Abdali border crossing, where he personally assessed the extent of the damage inflicted on the crossing as a result of the unjust Iranian aggression. He directed the relevant authorities to promptly evaluate the damages and take the necessary measures to reopen the crossing as soon as possible, ensuring the resumption of normal operations and serving the interests of both brotherly countries.
