OIC Condemns the Brutal Attack by the Houthi Terrorist Militia on International Maritime Security

The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the brazen attack by the Houthi terrorist militia on Saudi commercial vessels while they were navigating in the Red Sea. This act constitutes a blatant aggression and a serious violation of regional and international maritime security and safety, negatively impacting the supply and delivery of global food and energy resources.

In a statement, the General Secretariat affirmed that this aggression poses a genuine threat to international peace and security, and represents a clear breach of the principles and rules of international law. It called on the international community to take stringent measures to halt these treacherous violations and attacks perpetrated by the renegade terrorist militia.

The OIC expressed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to safeguard its security and interests.
