Kuwait's "Hand of Youth" Defeats China at the Asian Championship

Our national youth handball team defeated their Chinese counterparts 36-31 on Saturday in the classification round matches for fifth to eighth place at the 19th Asian Youth Handball Championship, which serves as a qualifier for the 2027 World Championship in North Macedonia. The tournament, featuring 13 teams, kicked off in Suzhou, China, on July 15 and will run until July 27.
Kuwaiti players dominated the first half, ending it with a four-goal lead, 21-17. The “Blue Hands” squad maintained their superiority throughout the second half to secure the 36-31 victory. Kuwaiti player Yousef Madouh was named the match’s best player.
Kuwait will face Chinese Taipei in their final match of the Asian Championship on Monday, in a contest to determine fifth and sixth place.
