Mauritania's Foreign Ministry condemns Houthi targeting of a Saudi ship in the Red Sea: full solidarity with the Kingdom

Mauritania condemned on Friday the Houthi attacks on a Saudi ship in the Red Sea, reaffirming its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Mauritanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that it condemns the hostile acts and threats carried out by the Houthi terrorist militias in the Red Sea, particularly those directed against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its interests. The ministry also expressed its strong disapproval of the Houthi militias’ failure to respond to all efforts and initiatives aimed at alleviating the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people and resolving their crisis. It reaffirmed the Mauritanian government’s support for Saudi Arabia, the legitimate Yemeni government, and the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen, in all measures that contribute to preserving security and stability in the region and helping the Yemeni people emerge from their crisis.
