Al-Azhar Condemns Repeated Incursions by Occupation Officials into Al-Aqsa Mosque: A Pure Islamic Stance That Will Remain a Witness to the Islamic Character of the Holy Sites and the Arab Identity of Jerusalem

Al-Azhar Al-Sharif strongly condemned the repeated incursions by officials of the occupying entity into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, accompanied by thousands of extremist Zionists, under the protection of occupation forces, and their performance of provocative rituals. It affirmed that this repeated criminal behavior constitutes a blatant violation of the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem, as well as a disregard for the feelings of Muslims worldwide.

Al-Azhar warned that the continuation of these systematic violations portends the escalation of conflict and the undermining of de-escalation efforts in the region. It clarified that attempts at Judaization and the imposition of facts on the ground will not change the reality that Al-Aqsa Mosque, in its entirety, is an exclusively Islamic waqf (endowment), and will remain a testament to the Islamic character of the holy sites and the Arab identity of Jerusalem.

It called on the international community and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities by intervening urgently to halt these repeated Zionist aggressions against the holy sites in occupied Jerusalem, and to compel the occupation authorities to comply with resolutions of international legitimacy. It implored God Almighty to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque, support those who stand guard there, spare the blood of the Palestinian people, and grant our nation security and stability.
