Minister of Housing Announces Offer of 2,899 Residential Plots in 17 New Cities Under the 'Maskan' Program

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Eng. Randa Al-Munshawi, announced the offering of 2,898 residential land plots under the “Maskan” program across 17 new cities, through the New Urban Communities Authority. This initiative is part of the ministry’s efforts to meet the growing demand for residential land and provide more opportunities for citizens to build their own homes in the new cities.
The minister clarified that the offering includes 2,263 land plots under the medium-grade land axis and 635 plots under the premium-grade land axis, distributed across several new cities. This distribution supports urban development plans and strengthens the state’s efforts in urban expansion, in line with directives from political leadership to make more land and residential units available to various segments of citizens.
She emphasized that the Housing Ministry is keen to include land plots designated for persons with disabilities in the offering, ensuring equal opportunities and facilitating their access to appropriate services and housing. A total of 142 plots are allocated for this purpose, including 111 plots under the medium-grade land axis and 31 plots under the premium-grade land axis.
The minister added that the terms and conditions are available on the “Maskan” platform’s website from July 27, 2026, until September 10, 2026. The date and venue for the public lottery will be announced later.
She explained that the medium-grade land plots are offered in the following cities: October Gardens, Sadat, October 10 Gardens, New Suez, New Borg El Arab, New Fayoum, New Beni Suef, New Assiut, New Aswan, and New Akhmim, totaling 2,263 plots.
Furthermore, the premium-grade land axis comprises 635 plots distributed across the cities of Al-Shorouk, Badr, New Obour, 15 May, New Nasser (West Assiut), New Thebes, and New Qena, ensuring diversity in the offering and meeting the needs of various citizen segments seeking to own residential land in the new cities.
Eng. Randa Al-Munshawi reaffirmed that the New Urban Communities Authority continues to implement a comprehensive plan to increase the supply of land and residential units, keeping pace with the development rates witnessed in the new cities and providing diverse residential and investment opportunities. She urged interested applicants to review the terms and conditions and complete the reservation procedures through the platform’s website: reserve.newcities.gov.eg.
