Cairo – Khadija Hamouda
Egypt has welcomed the statement issued by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which reflected Arab unity in the face of those attacks. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egyptians Abroad, and International Cooperation, Egypt affirmed its full solidarity with all sister Arab states and its full support for the legitimate measures they are taking to safeguard their security, stability, and sovereignty. It reiterated its firm rejection and condemnation of the targeting of the sovereignty of these sister states, as well as the targeting of civilians, civilian facilities, and vital infrastructure therein, and of any acts that could threaten the security and freedom of international navigation. Egypt stressed the importance of respecting the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of states, refraining from the use or threat of force, and the necessity of adhering to the principles of good neighborliness and non-interference in the internal affairs of states, thereby contributing to the preservation of regional and international peace and security.
