Kuwait Fire Force Launches "Safe Summer" Awareness Campaign to Prevent Accidents and Enhance Community Safety

The General Fire Force launched its summer awareness campaign under the slogan “A Safe Summer with the Fire Department” at The Avenues Mall, aiming to raise awareness about the risks and causes of fires and drowning incidents, which increase during the summer season, and to enhance community safety.

Speaking to KUNA, the Force’s spokesperson, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Gharib, said the campaign will organize a variety of programs throughout the summer, including exhibitions, lectures, sea excursions, and visits to commercial complexes, as well as government and private institutions, to provide guidance on safety requirements, fire and accident prevention measures, and proper procedures for handling emergencies.

Al-Gharib explained that the campaign aligns with the Fire Department’s commitment to raising the level of preventive awareness among community members, thereby contributing to the protection of lives and property and reducing the occurrence of accidents.

He noted that the campaign will also focus on raising awareness about the importance of adhering to safety procedures at recreational and marine sites and in homes, highlighting the main causes of fires and accidents and ways to avoid them, as well as disseminating preventive guidelines to enhance community readiness. He called on the public to engage with the campaign’s activities, benefit from its awareness programs, and comply with safety instructions and guidelines, emphasizing their crucial role in mitigating risks and safeguarding lives and property during the summer.

In this context, he stated that the total number of reports handled by Fire Department teams across various governorates from January 1 to March 31, 2026, amounted to 3,633 reports, covering fires, rescue operations, other incidents, and general services. These included 750 fire incidents in residential and non-residential premises and in various modes of transportation across the country’s governorates.
