Egypt condemned in the strongest terms the Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, describing them as a blatant violation of the sovereignty of states and a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region, in contravention of the provisions of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, affirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, and its complete support for all measures they are taking to safeguard their security and stability, protect their sovereignty, and ensure the integrity of their territories. The statement reiterated Egypt’s firm rejection of attacks on civilian facilities and critical infrastructure, as well as any actions that could threaten the safety of civilians or undermine regional security and stability.
Egypt emphasized the necessity of respecting the sovereignty of states, the principles of good neighborliness, and refraining from the use or threat of force, calling for an immediate halt to all aggressions and escalatory acts. In this context, Egypt underscored the importance of the UN Security Council fulfilling its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security, thereby ensuring the protection of the region’s security and stability and sparing its peoples further tension and escalation.
