Chief of Staff Discusses Military Cooperation and Strengthening Strategic Defense Partnership with Italian Counterpart

Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Sharhan, met with his Italian counterpart, Chief of the Italian Defense Staff, Lieutenant General Luciano Portolano, during his official visit to the friendly Republic of Italy.

A formal reception ceremony was held for him at the headquarters of the Italian Chief of Staff in the capital, Rome. During the meeting, the bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the friendly Republic of Italy were reviewed, and ways to enhance joint military cooperation and strengthen the strategic defense partnership between the two friendly countries were discussed. The two sides also discussed the current situation in the region and ways to enhance security and stability.

He was accompanied on the visit by a delegation of senior commanding officers from the Kuwaiti Army.
