Trump: Iranians want diplomacy... but I don't see them ready for it now

Washington – KUNA: U.S. President Donald Trump affirmed that Iranians want to do something (at the diplomatic level), but he believes they are not yet ready for it, and stressed that the United States is doing well as military strikes on Iran continue, given its malicious intentions and the fact that it cannot be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon. During a federal event held on Thursday in Washington, Trump said, “We are doing a very good job. They would like to do something (at the diplomatic level), but I say they are not yet ready. They need more of the same. They are not yet ready. They have some malicious intentions. We cannot allow them to possess a nuclear weapon.” Trump warned that Iran wants to “destroy societies one by one. We cannot allow them even to think about possessing a nuclear weapon, and that is exactly what is happening. They will never have a nuclear weapon.” He affirmed that the current military moves “should have been carried out 50 years ago by other U.S. presidents or other countries. We did not have to be the ones to do it, but it seems that if we do not do it, no one else will.”
