Two female officers specializing in drug delivery services arrest an unemployed expatriate and seize 6 kilos of drugs in Salmiya

Abdullah Qunais: Officers from the General Department for Combating Narcotics referred three expatriates (two domestic workers holding Article 20 permits, and an unemployed expatriate holding an Article 18 permit) to the Public Prosecution on suspicion of drug trafficking. Meanwhile, 6 kilograms of various seized narcotics were confiscated from the expatriate’s residence in the Salamiya area. The seized items included hashish, cannabis, and laryca.

According to details, intelligence reached investigators indicating that an Asian expatriate woman had placed foreign objects next to an abandoned vehicle in a dirt lot in the Salamiya area. Consequently, anti-narcotics officers proceeded to the location where the Asian woman was present and discovered wrapped packages containing narcotics.

The source added that the identity and residence of the expatriate woman were identified; she was staying in a room in the Salamiya area. A search of the room revealed pre-packaged narcotics ready for distribution. Another expatriate woman present with them was also seized. During interrogations, the two women admitted to trafficking narcotics and confessed that they received phone calls from an Egyptian expatriate instructing them to deliver the drugs to specific locations, exploiting the difficulty of arresting or searching them by security personnel.

The source further stated that security forces determined the two workers were paying money to avoid being compelled to work for their sponsors.

The source continued: Coordination was immediately established with the Deputy Public Prosecutor, who authorized the anti-narcotics unit to raid the expatriate’s apartment. The prosecutorial warrant was executed, the expatriate was arrested, and over 6 kilograms of various narcotics were found inside his apartment. He confessed to engaging in drug trafficking and stated that he was fully dedicated to this criminal activity.
