Iranian treachery resurfaces as Bahrain and Jordan intercept missiles and drones

Iran continues to focus its attacks on Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Jordan, as well as the rest of the region.

The Saudi Civil Defense announced the activation of emergency alerts in Dammam, before issuing another warning shortly thereafter declaring that the threat had passed. It urged the public to continue following its instructions, avoid gatherings and photography entirely, and warned against rumors and unverified clips, advising people to avoid them.

Earlier, Civil Defense stated in a post on the “X” platform that “an alert was issued via the National Early Warning Platform for Emergency Situations in Dammam to warn of a threat.” It called for compliance with instructions, requested that people remain in their homes or buildings until the threat subsided, and advised avoiding open areas while staying away from glass, balconies, or rooftops.

In Bahrain, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force announced that Iran is continuing its systematic hostile approach through its despicable attacks targeting civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain. In a statement, it said that air defense systems intercepted, engaged, and destroyed several of the treacherous Iranian aerial attacks launched yesterday. The General Command affirmed that all its weapons and units are at the highest levels of readiness and preparedness to defend the Kingdom. It appealed to everyone to exercise caution, avoid approaching any foreign or suspicious objects resulting from the remnants of Iran’s brutal attacks, and report them immediately. The Bahrain Defense Force emphasized that the deliberate use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, expressing pride in the advanced combat readiness and high vigilance demonstrated by its brave soldiers in fulfilling their sacred duty to defend the homeland.

Previously, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced the sounding of air raid sirens across the country, urging citizens and residents to remain calm, proceed to the nearest safe location, and follow news through official channels.

For his part, the Jordanian Army announced yesterday that it had shot down four out of six missiles, in addition to four Iranian drones, that targeted the Kingdom, with no casualties or material damage reported. A senior official in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that air defense systems detected yesterday six missiles coming from Iranian territory targeting the Kingdom’s land, and engaged them immediately upon their entry into Jordanian airspace. The source explained that air defenses intercepted and shot down four missiles, while the remaining two fell in two remote, uninhabited areas, causing no human casualties or material damage. He added that Royal Engineers teams moved to the sites where the two missiles and the fragments from interception operations fell, securing the sites and handling the remnants in accordance with established technical and security procedures.

A senior military official in the General Command of the Armed Forces also stated that Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft intercepted and shot down four drones coming from Iran that targeted the Kingdom’s territory yesterday. The source noted that the interception and downing operations resulted in no human casualties or material damage. He added that Royal Engineers teams moved to the sites where the fragments fell, handled them, and secured the areas in accordance with established technical and security procedures.

Both sources confirmed that the Armed Forces continue to monitor the Kingdom’s airspace and maintain the highest levels of operational readiness to respond to any threat targeting the security of the Kingdom and the safety of its citizens. The Armed Forces will deal with any aerial threat targeting Jordanian territory in accordance with established rules of engagement, ensuring the protection of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and the safety of its citizens.
